As it turned out, men are often at risk of atherosclerosis (chronic arterial disease), tobacco smoking, alcoholism, metabolic syndrome (complex disorders leading to obesity in the body) and low mobility.

Most women with diabetes mellitus, cramp arrhythmia, obesity and dyslipidemia (high levels of lipids in the blood) are affected by the development of stroke in women.

At the same time, hypertension (high blood pressure) is the same risk for both sexes.
Experts also reported that ischemic stroke is more common in younger men than in younger women.
